Sonu Nigam(30 July 1973 - Present)

Sonu Nigam is one of the best playback singers in Bollywood industry. His father, Agam Kumar Nigam, and his mother, Sobha Nigam, both were from musical background. Both performed on the stage. Sonu's music idol is Mohommad Rafi, and for the same he is also referred as "Modern Rafi" for his melodious voice in the songs. Till date, he has sung over 2000 songs in 10 different languages and at his peak time, he was the most paid playback singer in Bollywood. He has also sung many non-film songs and acted in many of the movies too. His singing career started at the age of 4, when he joined his father on stage to sing Mohommad Rafi's "Kya Hua Tera Vada", and started his career in bollywood at the age of 18 in 1992. His first song was "O Asmaan Vale" from movie Aja Meri Jaan. He's been awarded "National Film Award for Best Male Playback Singer" in 2005 for movie "Kal Ho Na Ho", Padma Shri in 2022 and many more.
